  I recently vacated my apartment. Despite I put 5 hours in properly cleaning the apartment, the property manager told me it is not clean as per their standard and you have to pay for cleaning charges. I asked her what is not clean, she said whole apartment. As it was not not the last day of the month I told her tell me what is not clean and I will spend next day in cleaning that part. In response I get a reply and I quote "it does not matter however you clean you will not be able to clean like a professional cleaner and if on next visit we find anything dirty you will eventually pay the cleaning cost, so do not waste your time" unquote. She also scared me by saying I am part time and I will charge you less but the main building manager will charge you more than what I am charging. I do not understand what is the logic behind this, on what criteria she was telling me that.
  
  With this statement of her I realized that they are going to charge me cleaning charges irrespective how I clean. I was not happy but I paid almost $250 for professional cleaning.
  
  This was not it. Next day I requested to visit my apartment as I forgot something inside. I found that the apartment was a mess as painter did his/her job and other stuff they were doing in the apartment. I got very disappointed as they had to pay the professional cleaner anyway after that work. It felt like I got scammed by them.
